The Ringelblum Archive: Tour in the Jewish Historical Institute

Jewish Historical Institute is the main Jewish organization in Poland and a repository of the UNESCO-listed Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto (commonly known as the Ringelblum Archive).

The Archive is the world`s largest collection of primary sources documenting the Holocaust. You will see a fascinating, modern exhibition telling the story of a group of Jewish activists, who – working undercover in the Warsaw Ghetto – documented the life and extermination of Polish Jews under the Nazi occupation. You will see some of the original documents, available to the general public for the first time since WW2. It`s the biggest, most direct and eye-witness account on the Holocaust.

I recommend watching a featured documentary “Who will write our history”, before the tour. It was produced by Nancy Spielberg, younger sister of Steven Spielberg, and is available on many digital platforms.
